Card Creation and Emailing it
Getting Set-up:
– Once you have purchased a plan, you will receive an email from our support team. This email will have the steps on how to get set-up.
– Our welcome email will have a link which will take you to our onboarding tutorials.
Set-up your email:
– Even though you supplied us with your email, we do NOT have access to your password and such.
– Our tutorial will show you step-by-step how to set-up your own SMTP
Email SMTP:
– We know how improtant it is when you are emailing business contacts that you have your OWN email address on it.
– This is why we allow you to use your own SMTP email client.
– Using your own email address ensures your recipient knows the email (eCard) is coming from YOU!
Setting up your cards for deliverables:
– There are two different words we use at Card Engager.
– One being ‘cover or template’ and the other being ‘card’
– The ‘cover or template’ meaning is the FRONT panel of your card. It’s the section your recipient sees in their email.
– The ‘card’ is your entire eCard, including the ‘cover’ and any other panels you create.
Creating your card:
– Inside your workspace you’ll notice on the left side panel the word ‘Templates’.
– That will bring up our pre-designed covers. These covers cannot be altered due to they (for all intentional purposes) are converted into an image.
– You can pick one of our over 600+ covers (templates) to start your card creation…OR you can create your own inside your workspace by clicking one the ‘Create new card’ at the upper right hand side of your workspace.
– Once you’ve created your cover, you can then simply add a page to start your card creation. You can have a 2 sided-card, a 4 sided-card, or any even amount of panels you want to create.
– If you choose to create outside of our pre-designed covers, you can use something like Canva and create ANYTHING your mind can think up.
(NOTE: the card in the video, top of our page… that was ALL created using Canva. We added each panel by uploading the image and added the Call-to-Action button inside the workspace as well as a couple of the animated images).
Getting ready to email your card:
– Once your card is ready, and you’ve checked your spelling, you can either send it out now, or at a pre-designated time.
– Follow the prompts and BAM… you’ve just sent out your first Card Engager eCard! CONGRATULATIONS!
The Call-to-Actions (CTA) Element
Our CTA interactive buttons:
– This is ONE of many features that sets us apart from other eCards.
– The ability to have someone click-a-link ON YOUR CARD and it will go to the URL destination you’ve asigned it to go to.
– When you’re in the design area of your workspace, you’ll see a link for adding a call-to-action button.
– Just color it, add the text for inside it and add the URL destination and hit save. You’re done!
Card Customizations
Text:
– You can add any text you’d like.
Images:
– You can either add your own OR choose our free library of images.
Animated images:
– If you have any GIFs you’d like to use on your card, just upload them. OR, you can choose to use our library of GIFs and emojis.
Mobile Devices:
– When viewing an eCard on one’s mobile device, the way the card ‘FLIPS’ will be different then viewing on a desktop. Due to the many different screen sizes out there, it’s setup so it will be a ‘swipe’ card verses it ‘flipping’ from one panel to another.
Colors:
– Match your branded colors.
Fonts:
– We have a wide range of different fonts available OR you can create your own panel using platforms such as Canva.
Sending one card or many at a time
For sending just one card at a time:
– You can just follow the prompts for this and you’ll be able to send your card to one address, either now or you can set it up to send at a later time.
For bulk card sending:
– Just create a CSV file (instructions are on our tutorial area) and in the process of doing it as well.
– Upload your CSV file when you have added your list and then just follow the prompts. Again, you can send them now or at a later time.
NOTE: please know your sending limits (relays) of your email provider. Email providers carry limits on how may emails you can send out at once and over the course of a 24 hour period.
– Contact your provider if you do not know these limits.
– We are NOT responsible for this and take no responsibilities if your provider limits your out bound emails.

What is a digital card?
- We all know what a physical card is, correct? We purchase a card from a card store, add our own written words, place it in an envelope, add a couple of stamps on it and mail it. Within a few days, your card gets delivered to whom you sent it to… hopefully!
- Well, a digital card or eCard (electronic card) is a card made up of a front cover, inside panels and a backside, just like a regular card. BUT, the difference is that you customize the card the way YOU want it to be. Using background colors / image, content on every side (panel) including pictures/images, and text.
- One thing that stands out with Card Engager is we take it one step farther. We include the ability to add animation, be it GIFs or emojis.
Then, to put the cherry on top (if you will) is you can have a CALL-to-ACTION button on any side you want. This button is truly interactive. They click, they go where you want them to go! - This eCard is then emailed to the party you want it to go to, just by adding some of your details in some fields. Once done, just click send… and it’s sent through the internet into their inbox in the form of an email.
- They open it up, click the card, and BAM… they will be reading what you sent them!

Why is there a monthly fee?
- As we host your own personal ‘workspace’ there is a hosting fee for this.
- We constantly monitor the servers as well as periodically include updates and new features, this too… incurs fees.
- Included in your monthly fee is analytics on your cards sent.
Do you have a yearly option?
- Yes, absolutely.
- When you pay a yearly fee, you get a better discount rate.
- Just contact support and let them know what you’re interested in and they will let you know the yearly cost.
What's the difference between Email Account & Team Member?
- Great Question!
- A Team member is one that has login & card creation privileges.
- An Email Account is when a Team member can connect their email via SMTP.
- So, it’s a 1-to-1 ratio. A team member has to have an email account.
(There will be some outstanding features upcoming that will be needed, and that is why it’s stated this way currently!)
If I have an issue, how do I contact you?
- Great question!
You can reach out to one of our experienced support staff via email. - They are available Monday – Friday 9:00am – 4:00pm (PST)
- We always get back with you the same day.
- In case you have an issue after business hours or on the weekends, we do have someone that handles the support desk. They will make sure that your ticket gets logged in and will be dealt with first thing the next business day.
- If your issue is with down time, our tech team will get notified and will find a quick resolution.
Can I cancel my monthly subscription?
- YES!
- If you want to cancel your monthly subscription, no matter what level you have, just let us know per the email we supply, and it will be cancelled.
- Once you are cancelled, on your next billing date, your Card Engager portal WILL NOT work.
How to Get Started?
- Once you purchase Card Engager, you’ll receive an email with a best time to connect. This will be for the discovery call!
- On the Discovery Call, we will go over how to log-in to your workspace and set-up your primary email. Our easy to understand on-line tutorials will break down each step for you.
